Durham School Services has partnered the BusZone, a parent application available on mobile app or web browser. This app allows families to track the student's bus in real time.

App Store (iOS) Google Play (Android)

School Access Code: 4076NPS

Getting Started with BusZone

To use the BusZone App, you will need your student's run number and student ID number. These can be found on MiStar ParentConnection. For each student, locate each of these.

  • Student ID = Local ID on the Demographics tab
  • Run = Under the Transportation tab, look for "Run" (not route)

Setting up the App

  1. Download the BusZone App
  2. Enter the School Access Code: 4076NPS
  3. Search for Your Student's Route by entering the bus run number(s) your child rides throughout the week.
Important Note: When BusZone asks for a Route number, enter the Run number from your MiStar Parent Portal. The app refers to this as "Route," but it is actually the "Run" number you'll find in MiStar.
  4. Enter Your Child's Student ID
  5. Set Alert Zones
  6. Create custom zones around pick-up and drop-off locations like your home, school, or daycare.
  7. Enable Notifications: Get real-time notifications via email or text when your child's bus enters your alert zone.
