The Northville Broncobots Win State Robotics Championship!

Northville Public Schools had two middle school teams compete at the Michigan State FIRST Robotics Tournament at Macomb Community College. The event took place December 8-10, 2022.

The Broncobots and TechoRaptors robotics teams are made up of students from both Hillside and Meads Mill Middle Schools.

Both teams did an amazing job and made it as finalists in the Flowers Division Championship!

"After losing their first qualifier match by just 3 points, the Broncobots persevered to win the next five hard-fought matches to reach the playoffs as the 4th-ranked Alliance Captain. The first round of playoffs against the #1 ranked alliance was extremely intense, taking three matches plus a rematch to win the best of three series. From there the Broncobots prevailed to win the Flowers Division Championship in two matches and the Michigan State Championship in two matches," explained Ed Peters, Broncobots Coach.

Next stop for the Broncobots is the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas in April!
