Northville Educational Foundation Presents 11th Annual STEAM Fair

Get ready, Northville! Our amazing elementary STEAM teachers are here to share some exciting updates about this year’s 11th Annual STEAM Fair, hosted by the Northville Educational Foundation! This year’s event will provide new opportunities for K-12 students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

The Northville Educational Foundation is excited to present the 11th Annual STEAM Fair on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Northville High School. This event provides K-12 students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, innovation, and knowledge in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

Students from all grade levels can create and present projects that demonstrate their problem-solving skills and ingenuity. For students in grades 5-12, this event also offers the chance to win scholarships and prizes for their outstanding contributions.

Exciting Opportunities for All Grade Levels

Grades K-3: Young Makers in Action
Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade are encouraged to be "Makers" by exploring topics such as Architecture, Interactivity, Games, and Coding. Each participant will receive a certificate of achievement for their involvement in the STEAM Fair.

Grade 4: A STEAM Field Trip Adventure
All 4th-grade students in Northville Public Schools will take a field trip to Northville High School to explore student presentations, visit the Robotics Lab and Engineering Classrooms, and attend STEAM career presentations from industry professionals.

Grade 5: Solving Problems Through STEAM
Fifth-grade students will expand upon their “Invention Convention” projects and tackle real-world problems using STEAM principles. Five $100 gift card prizes will be awarded in different categories to recognize outstanding projects.

Middle School (Grades 6-8): Addressing Community Challenges
Middle school students will focus on solving a challenge within their community using STEAM concepts. Projects may involve educating peers, inventing solutions, or addressing global issues. Three students will receive monetary scholarship prizes for their innovative ideas.

High School (Grades 9-12): Innovative Solutions for the Future
High school students are encouraged to tackle real-world challenges, from local to global issues, using STEAM concepts. Projects may involve educational initiatives, innovative inventions, or community impact solutions. Three winners will be awarded monetary scholarships for their outstanding contributions.

The general public is invited to visit the STEAM Fair on April 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Northville High School. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore student projects, learn about the STEAM program and facilities at Northville Public Schools, and engage with inspiring young minds.
