A Note About Communication
As building leaders and administrative teams return from summer break, many plans—including open house dates and transition details—are still in the works. We appreciate your patience as final touches are made. Each school will communicate important information directly with their families as soon as it becomes available.

Annual Registration

Annual Back-to-School Registration will need to be completed for every student, K–12, and can be accessed through MiStar ParentConnection

Deadlines:

  • Northville High School: Registration must be completed prior to your student’s transition day.
  • Hillside and Meads Mill Middle Schools: Registration must also be completed before students attend their transition day.
  • Elementary Schools and Cooke School: Registration must be completed by Tuesday, September 2.

Elementary School Open Houses & Class Lists

Due to significant bond construction, Amerman Elementary will not host an Open House prior to the first day of school. The remaining five elementary schools—Moraine, Ridge Wood, Silver Springs, Thornton Creek, and Winchester—will host their Open Houses in the evening on Wednesday, August 27. Your school will send out Open House details within the next week or so.

*Elementary class lists will be available in MiStar Q ParentConnection on Friday, August 22 at 4:00 PM.

Breakfast and Lunch 2025-26

The State of Michigan has not yet passed the 2025–26 K-12 budget bill, which includes funding for the Michigan School Meals program. Northville Public Schools will continue offering free meals for all students through September under the current budget and will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Staying Connected: Tools for Parents

The district and schools use ParentSquare as our primary communication platform. This is where you’ll receive district and building-level posts and newsletters, along with urgent alerts when needed. Please ensure your contact information is up to date in MiStar ParentConnection so you don’t miss any important updates. We use a few different tools to help you stay in the loop:

  • ParentSquare: Our main communication platform for district updates, school newsletters, and urgent alerts.
  • MiStar ParentConnection: Where you can update your contact info, see grades, check bus routes, and more.
  • Schoology: For monitoring your student’s assignments and classroom learning.
